Wednesday Night

Molly had another good day today, was busy with an MRI and dressing changes on her legs. Karen, Olivia and Jerry visited today. They did not get to spend to much time with her due to all the stuff going on, and she was sedated a little during each of these procedures so she was not overly alert while they were here, but she did know they were here and it did help to lift her spirits. Overall, she made progress in all areas today and was very tired tonight and a little agitated this evening before I left. They gave her some pain medication and something help her sleep. The ventilator was put on the support setting all day today so she was basically breathing on her own all day and this is great news, but also tiring for her. The doctors and surgeons were in today and they will be doing surgery on her legs tomorrow (thursday) morning first thing around 8:30am. this is to debreed the dead skin on her legs and possibly do some skin graphs, but they will decide when they get her in the operating room to decide exactly what they will do. The surgery will take 2-4 hours and we need constant prayer during this procedure to guide the surgeons hands and for them to make the right decisions. also pray for peace of mind for Molly as she says she is not worried or scared but i beleive part of her uneasiness tonight is due to her being concerned about the surgery. she has contracted a GI tract infection that is common to patients in ICU, and not a big concern, but they do have to be careful not to pass it from patient to patient so the staff is wearing gowns ans such when they ener the room. Visitors do not need to were the gowns, but are required to wash their hands before leaving the room. They also performed the hemo-dialysis today and she did great and they were pleased with the amount of fluid they were able to extract. Legs, toes, fingers are still major concerns and need prayer. Liver is starting to function better, but not fully yet, keep praying for her liver function. Kidneys have not started to work yet, so continue to pray for them The ventilator should come off tomorrow after the surgery, so pray that this is possible and she tolerates breathing on her own well. Lastly, as she is becoming more and more alert, pray for her peace of mind and not to worry or be scared. Lastly, after the vent is removed and she is doing well, they will move her to the burn unit as they will be more equipped to work on her legs. The surgeon stated today that fundamentally her legs are just like a severe burn and will need to be treated as such. Keep Molly in your constant prayer for total healing. God Bless you all!

Dear Molly and Jamey,

I am reading all of this for the first time, and I am still trying to take it all in. I am so sorry this has happened. I feel like I want to pull out a magic wand and make this go away for you.

Yet, I know in my heart you already have that magic wand in God's love and the power of prayer that is surrounding you right now.

I have been profoundly moved by your resiliance, courage, and faith. And I know that I will continue to be inspired in the weeks ahead by your example of strength in adversity and your ability to overcome all odds.

Molly, girl you are Wonder Woman! Linda Carter is going to have to surrender that skimpy suit to you! I'm sure Jamey won't mind a bit!

And what's even better is you have Super Man by your side, who can make calculated medical decisions at the speed of light!

The Dynamic Duo will come back stronger than ever.

Much love and prayers for perfect health,

Bonnie & Steve Davis

Jamey, please don't hesitate to let us know if there's anything we can do for you back here. We know how hard this must be for you, and also for Steve and Nina, and we're lifting all of you up in prayer daily also.

Molly and Jamey,

Just wanted you know you've been in my prayers. My mom passed along this Web site today, so I'm reading about all the details for the first time. I'm glad to see Molly has been getting better, and I wish you a safe and successful surgery this morning.

When I went to bed last night, I checked the websight and there was no news yet. I knew there were many things going on with Molly, so I only worried a little bit, but went to bed and prayed for all of Molly's specific needs. Now this morning I read that things are going well with continuous progress. All of these prayers are working!
Molly,
I was at the beauty shop on Tuesday and while waiting for the color to take affect decided to get a new spring "do". I've got a new short cut, so you won't know me the next time you see me! Just wanted to share a little girl talk.
Like everyone, I am checking several times a day for updates. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

God is good. It is wonderful to see Him work through the two of you.

Ok here goes again-I've been trying all week to figure out how to post to this. Molly, if this works you have to promise to get better quick so that you can be proud of me.
Jamey,
Can't begin to thank you enough for creating this blog space to keep all of us that love her (and there are so many) up on her condition. It is truly a Godsend and you are a remarkable person to do it for all of us. You both are constantly in my prayers and I have passed on Molly's needs to EVERY praying person that I know (and she can tell you that I know one heck of a lot of people). You have to know what a special lady you are married to- I laugh every time I read someone describe her as feisty. While that's a good word, I'm not at all sure that it quite covers Molly.
In addition to praying for her specific needs, I remember each night to thank the Good Lord for the many miracles that He has already given to us in this situation. I just know that He has many more planned for the two of you. Hang in there - keep fighting and we'll all keep praying.
Hugs,
Sandy

Dear Molly and Jamey,

" Iwas glad when they said unto me , let us go into the house of the Lord" It may seem odd, but this is the scripture I think of when I think of you Molly. The house I am refering to is you! Ever since the moment I met you I realized what a special "temple " you are. You have a true radiance that shines from within. I have shared with you one of my biggest regrets was not going on to become a teacher. You shared the boys class with me and let me see what I wished I had become by simply watching you. I have treasured that time, and even though circumstances prevented me from coming back and continuing, I thank you a million times over. My boys were truly blessed to have you as their teacher. They still have the posters you made them in thier room. You are an amazing teacher and wonderful person. No one can explain God's plan at times, and it sure leaves alot of quesitons. I do know though, when He restores you, what a testimony you will be!

Jamey,

I cannot even begin to imagine what you are going through. It alot of times is harder to watch a loved one suffer than to go through it ourselves. I hav eshard with Molly but am not sure if I ever got to thank you properly for the help you gave me when working for DGI. Just being able to vent my frustarations was such a blessing. I heard today that a group is taking meals to Molly's dad, and I am going to see if I can help with that. We will continue to storm the gate of Heaven for both of you. We would be honored to do anything else.

Do not give up!! God is faithful and to many are praying for Him not to be moved!!

Dear Molly and Jamey,
I taught with Molly at Nicklin for several years. She is a great teacher and a super person. We were big scooter racers. I think she beat me, but only by a nose! She is a strong person and I know she will beat this too! I just found out about Molly and began and will continue to pray for both of you and all of the requests. Please give Molly a hug for me. Jamey-Molly is lucky to have you by her side. Hang in there!

Dear Jamey and Molly,

I just wanted to let you know that you both have been in my thoughts and prayers.

I took dinner over to Raymond tonight...he said he is going to be gaining some weight with all the food he has been receiving! He had mentioned that he had not heard from you in a couple of days but said "no news is good news" I told him that Molly was doing better everyday! I did not mention her surgery today as I thought that needs to come from you.

Jamey please take care of yourself and tell Molly we miss her very much at school.

Thinking of you both,
Angela

Dear Molly,

I have started to write a comment each day to you and then I'm not sure if it sounds okay and end up not sending anything. This time I must send something because you are such a special person that I want you to know that we are thinking of you each and everyday. Lately, I have been so stressed out with my work and frustrated with the day to day life challenges, but these challenges and frustrations do not at all compare to the events you have had to face!!! I think of you everyday Molly. You are such a special person that I can't believe this is happening to you. Someone explained to me once that God chooses certain people in life to face difficult things because he knows that he or she can overcome them. I know that you can overcome all of this with your courage and strength. Reading about your progress throughout this ordeal has made me a stronger person just knowing how strong you are.

Jade wants to say something:

I hope you get better soon so you can come home and then I want to come visit you. Love, Jade.

We put a package in the mail to you and Jamey today. It will come to hospital.

I think of you everyday Molly. Keep fighting!!!! You are an incredible and amazing and wonderful person (I can go on and on) and I am so glad that you have been and always will be a part of Jadie's life, as well as mine.

We Love you and care about you deeply!!!

Jodi, Jimmy, Jade and "Duder" Besecker.
