TUESDAY, AFTER SURGERY

Surgery went well! Molly was taken to surgery earlier than expected by about 2 hours. When she was in the pre-op she looked at me and said, you know you have been here awhile when the surgical team knows you by name and is equally excited about you getting to go home soon. But it is also another example of how much they actually care about you here. The actual surgery only took about 20-30 minutes and went well. Dr. Wahl came out to talk to me after she was finished and Molly was in recovery. She was pleased with the surgery and should have very little limitations other than not to get the dressing wet. Good thing Molly got a few showers in last week, as we are back to sponge baths for a little while. Other than that, she is able to resume therapy and using her legs as before. With the surgery today, very little else went on as therapies were not scheduled, and with the long pre-op, surgery, then post op time along with the time it took her to get fully woke back up and the drugs to wear-off it was late this afternoon until we got up, ate, and went outside in the courtyard for a little bit. But she is feeling fine now and ready to get back to doing therapy and her regular daily routine. With only the surgery happening today, we don't have a lot of other stuff to report on. so until tomorrow, keep us and each other in your thoughts and prayers. Love, Jamey and Molly

Molly and Jamey,

I am so glad went so good and so fast.. Wow 20 or 30 minutes that is cool. I am so happy with how great you are doing.
The weather was beautiful today. Zach and Ethen and their team had a practice game. They both played really good. They think it is cool they are on the same team.
We pray that you will be home soon.
We miss and love you,

Michelle , Zach and Dan, Sonja

Molly!

Hello. I'm a blast from the past. And you probably won't remember me but when I was very young, I used to go to the rec center in Greenville. This would have been around 1992-3. My name is Angela. I always remembered you because you are so beautiful. My heart broke for you when I heard of your journey but reading over the blog tonight that Jamey, and later, you have been writing- I know that God has blessed you with so many beautiful people in your life.

There are so many things after reading your blog that I'd love to say but I can't find the words. I hope God continues to bless you. If there is ever anything I can do for you, please let me know. If you just need a good laugh or to talk- I'm here!

Goodluck! GET WELL

Hi M and J.

Glad to hear your surgery went well - more exciting news is that you were able to get out and about and eat some real food. I bet Joy and Ashley were surprised when you showed up to visit them.
You'll be happy to know - I just got back from the doctor myself - I've been sick - with no voice and a sore throat - and although I normally not miss work or bother to go to the Dr. - the strep thing makes me a little nervous now - so I went - guess who's responsible for my shift in philosophy???? I had hoped to come visit you this weekend - in place of going to the concert - but won't be doing so now - since I wouldn't want to bring you any germs! I mailed a card today Molly - it has the 'list' of new and unusual names from k-screening - somehting to look forward to- should hopefully bring a laugh or two!!
Thinking of both you! Love, Teresa
